KLAUS BREDDEMANN (M.M., MNI., BSc.)

Director of Marine Operations

Klaus started his seafaring career on a sailing ship at the age of 16. After obtaining his Foreign Going Master license and a degree in Maritime Economics he served on various types of vessels until 1983, when he was seconded as Marine Pilot and Offshore Rig Tow Master to a major Oil Company in SE Asia.

During this period he gained valuable and numerous hands-on experiences in the offshore industry, which prompted him to enhance his knowledge further by joining a well established Marine Engineering & Warranty Service Provider.

Serving for 24 years his last position was that of the Marine Operations Manager, covering the company’s marine and offshore activities throughout SE Asia. These included a wide range of marine, engineering, offshore rig and geotechnical assignments.

Leading a group of geotechnical and structural engineers provided expert support to the drilling industry, which resulted in the safe emplacement of drilling rigs in difficult and challenging locations.

Klaus brings with him more than 40 years of hands-on experience. His technical contribution to the industry and ability to meeting the requirements of even the most demanding clients earned him the respect and acknowledgement of the industry.”
